Problem you are trying to address

Problem you are trying to address:

As the Ugandan president motioned to move the classroom experience to televised broadcast, in view of covid-19, we saw a new opportunity. Our innovative 360-degree low-cost approach has already impacted well over 1.5 million Ugandan children with culturally relevant, character-building literacy programs. Now, Enjuba is uniquely positioned to bring faith-based educational programing to the radios and television sets of Ugandan households (more than 80% of Ugandan households have a working radio, and 25% own a television set). Unfortunately, there is hardly any such educational children’s programs on the national airwaves, particularly those created to reflect the African, and Ugandan experience.

We are partnering with Lugogo Baptist Church (https://lugogobaptist.org/) to co-create and curate content that will impact both the hearts and minds of the children in our country, that has the second youngest population in the world!

We invite partners, both local and global to join with us in this.

Project Description and updates

Project description & Updates:

Enjuba exists to enable the over 20 million children of Uganda experience the best possible outcomes from their educational journey, for God and country. We especially believe that increased functional literacy unlocks the Bible, and a world of opportunity to children. The 2020 covid school lockdowns served to further amplify the stark inequality and disadvantage of most Ugandan children in access to quality educational resources. As the president motioned to move the classroom experience to televised broadcast, we saw a new opportunity.
